With the new 2026.Q1 release, we’ve learned that the User Segmentation feature is going to be deprecated in favor of managing the segmentation in Analytics Cloud. We’re using this feature quite heavily in our sites. We also tried the Analytics Cloud, but unfortunately, it’s way too expensive compared to the features it offers (for now at least).
I’m wondering then, how it will work after the Segment management is removed from DXP and moved to Analytics Cloud. Is it still going to be possible to manage the segments without having the AC Subscription, or does it rather mean that we’ll entirely lose that feature of DXP?
Our segments do not rely on users’ activity, so we don’t really need the AC features. What we would need is just to manage the segments as they are now. Is it going to be possible in the free version of AC?
