What is the problem you are trying to solve?

Trying to get an idea if my own Marketplace Apps are downloaded and in use

What is your proposed solution? (optional)

Please provide some statistics to get an idea about marketplace’s performance for individual apps. This can (best case) help prioritizing individual apps for improvement, or give an indicator that a particular app is not matching market needs.

As it is right now, Marketplace does not give any clue about adoption rate (for free apps). Charging money just to get some feedback for an app’s performance simply isn’t the proper way, but payments are the only way I can see to get any feedback about an app’s adoption rate.

I’m trying to figure out which app is worth upgrading to / offering for newer versions.

Hi Olaf,

We’re combining this feedback along with other pieces we have received for an improved publisher experience we have planned for 2027. There will be some updates and announcements in Q4 which will give you some more details so watch this space :slight_smile:

It would be really useful if Marketplace provided basic adoption metrics for published apps, especially free ones. Even approximate download counts, active installations, or usage statistics would help developers understand whether an app is gaining traction and where to focus improvements. Relying on paid transactions as the only indicator doesn’t really work for free apps.
