I am wondering if it would be possible to allow editing of your own comments. I have done a couple now, and have wanted to make a small tweak, e.g. fix a typo. Currently you have to delete your comment and then add a new one.

That is wired indeed. I see there is an edit icon for my last post now, but it looks like it only appears after the post has been approved. I was trying to edit a post before it was approved (which sort of makes sense, you create a post/reply, save it, then think you would like to make a change to it 10 seconds later before it is approved, but you can’t edit it, only delete it).
Maybe a shortcoming of Discourse, or perhaps another setting somewhere? For example, my first reply post is shown below… no edit icon, just a delete icon (which I used to delete and recreate this post).
