We are currently using Liferay DXP 2026.Q1.11 and are looking for recommendations on how to automate the publishing of content and site changes from our UAT environment to Production.
The scope includes items such as:
- Web Content Articles
- Blogs
- Pages and Site Structure
- Other content managed through Liferay
Our primary goal is to reduce manual rework and deployment effort when promoting approved changes from UAT to Production.
We have considered using Remote Live Staging, which appears to be a standard Liferay approach for this requirement. However, we have some concerns about the long-term maintenance, operational complexity, and supportability of a staging-based solution in our environment.
We are therefore exploring alternative approaches, such as:
- Custom utilities or automation tools
- Export/Import-based solutions
- Headless APIs
- CI/CD-driven content promotion
- Any other best practices adopted by the community
Has anyone implemented a similar solution in Liferay? If so, could you please share your approach, lessons learned, or recommendations?
