Feature Request: Certificate download for training badges (non‑LinkedIn users)

Hi,

I’m currently taking several Liferay training courses and I noticed that I can publish my badges on LinkedIn. However, I don’t use LinkedIn, so I would like to request a new feature.

Other platforms such as Azure, Oracle, etc. allow downloading a certificate that includes the course name and the completion date. In Liferay, if you don’t use LinkedIn, the only option is taking a screenshot of the badges list, which doesn’t show dates or detailed information.

I would like to request the ability to download a certificate (PDF or image) for each completed course, including the badge, the course title, and the completion date.

I don’t know what the team will say about the downloading of the badges and stuff…

But I actually wanted to address the “I don’t use LinkedIn” comment…

It is the site for professional networking, and most job applications will ask for your LinkedIn id to verify your background.

You can also get recommendations and acknowledgements and connections that you won’t be able to get any other place.

I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but establishing and maintaining a LinkedIn profile can help you the next time you’re in the job market.

At the moment, Liferay badges are issued for completing the corresponding badge tests, while official certificates are issued for Liferay certification exams. You can learn more about Liferay certifications here: Official Liferay Certification - Validate Your Expertise - Liferay Learn .

You can download the badge image directly from Liferay Learn, but we don’t currently offer an official certificate for each completed course.

We appreciate the suggestion, though, and will take this feedback into consideration for future improvements.
