# Site Initializer Client Extension changes friendlyURL after first deployment

Running **DXP 2026.Q1.8** :

When deploying a Site Initializer Client Extension for the first time, the friendlyURL is set to `/{siteName}`.  
On all subsequent deployment, the friendlyURL is changed to `/group-{groupId}`, even if it was changed in the Admin UI.

Thanks for the update and checking on the status of the ticket.

I posted some more [details here](https://discuss.liferay.com/t/site-initializer-batch-as-client-extension-in-2025-q4-has-issue/342/3) if it helps the team to implement a solution so theat the friendlyURL can be controlled from `site-configuration.json`.

@Allison_McGill There’s a link to [LPD-85594](https://liferay.atlassian.net/browse/LPD-85594) in your ticket. Apparently it was fixed in 2026.Q2.0. Hoping this fix will also make it a 2026.Q1 LTS release?
